Should you not be able to benefit from the direct flights, we recommend that you choose a connecting flight by searching options on ITA Airways with connections in Milan Linate (LIN) to 3 daily flights to Alghero (AHO),  RyanAir connecting in Milan-Bergamo (BGY), Milan-Malpensa (MXP) or Bologna (BLQ)  or Aeroitalia with 4 daily flights from Rome (FCO) to Alghero (AHO).  Except for ITA Airways,  these non-direct options are “self-transfer” meaning you buy 2 separate tickets and must collect and re-check your bags at your connection.

Please note that for Aeroitalia flights, University students under  the age of 27 (before their 27th birthday), without any discrimination related to nationality and/or residence, may use the “Sardinian Resident” fare for flights between Rome-Alghero-Rome:

• An identity document proving the above conditions must be presented at check-in before departure. If a valid document is not presented, the passenger must purchase a new ticket at a non-discounted fare to travel. For university students, valid university record book. If the record book does not have an expiration date, it is required to present the university enrollment certificate for the current year.
• Tickets issued for both Residents and equivalent categories have no limitations and no restrictions will apply to them, nor any penalty for changing date/time/itinerary and requesting or for refund.
• The Fare includes:
  • One hold baggage delivered at check-in weighing no more than 23kg ( max 80 cm x 50 cm x 30 cm)
  • One small bag (40x30x20cm) and one hand luggage (55x40x20cm) in the cabin for a maximum of 10kg is included for each passenger.
  • Free Online check-incheck-in between 24h and 3h before flight
