ENII was founded in 1986, by 15 European Institutes devoted to research
in molecular and cell immunology. Presently, the ENII Institutes are 38
Research Departments located in
Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands,
Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom. This
number can be extended to other Laboratories or Departments. ENII aims
to promote the quality of European education and research in immunology:
- Fostering scientific information exchanges by organizing Scientific Meetings, Courses, Schools and Workshops;
- Enhancing scientists exchanges and networking by Fellowships and Sabbatical Bursaries for post-docs and visiting scientists.
- Spreading information through its Members and its web site
- Enhancing visibility of European Immunology.
